iguassu falls

after rio we spent a couple days exploring the beautiful falls on both the brazil and argentine sides. I was really quite impressed. my favorite part was strolling down the green walkway and having the mist from the falls cool down our hot bods. I generally really love mists of all kinds. we also took a boat ride up really close to one of the falls...I think it shattered one of my ear drums (ok, not really)...but I did learn water force is no laughing matter. oh, and grant took some photos of some rascally varmets that wandered down the paths next to us that maybe I will post later. oh, and we at some coconut popsicles that were really good.

We went there a few years ago and feel it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Can't wait to see more pics.

RACHEL!! I love your blog. LOVE. I feel famous just because I know you :) Here I think I'm the shiz and then I see you have visitors from 17 different countries. Sigh. I'm just average.

ANYWAY...I've been to Iguacu - when we picked up Dave from Argentina. GUESS WHAT??? We leave FRIDAY for Brazil to pick up Greg...and we're going to Iguacu again :)

AND Machu Picchu (if you haven't been there, you should...you'd take some AMAZING pictures). We did that with Dave as well. Doing it again...

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MY BOY!!!

lori- I am so excited for you!I can't believe greg is already coming home!! I'm sure for you it's felt like 4yrs instead of 2.

first, thank you for loving me, second, thank you for spelling iquacu the "right" way. before I posted these images grant and I were discussing which spelling to use...decided on the more "american" spelling. now I regret it. wow. that was a boring tangent. AND third, I have been to peru. grant and I hiked the inca trail to the glorious machu picchu back in nov 07. check out my photos from that trip here, http://rachelthurston.blogspot.com/2007/12/peru-2007.html

that's all. xxoo.

i am BEYOND jealous. but i'm sure i've told you that before. we were supposed to go to the falls in the spring. andy was taking me back to my mission in argentina : ( things didn't work out.... fingers are still crossed for later this year. we shall see.

when i travel the rest of the world, can you just come with me, so i have gorgeous documentation of my memories?? in fact, i wish we were bosom friends (seen anne of green gables?) and hung out all the time, so then my life would inadvertently be captured fabulously all the time. or would it...?either way, my point is (and i KNOW i've told you THIS before : ) --- i love to see what you see. gorgeous photos again and again.
