(obviously the photos of me are taken by grntl...pretty good if I do say so myself, oh and dude, I think you have something in your teeth)we took a break in between shooting emily and steven's wedding and treated ourselves to some strawberry shortcake.
the flower fields in carlsbad were beautiful. I didn't take any photos because we didn't have much time and didn't want to pay the entrance fee.....but we did have time for some delicious strawberries.
the man helping us told us that they let people go and pick their own strawberries at the fields during the summer. wouldn't that be great? we totally want to spend an afternoon picking berries and then make homemade jam.

i'm jealous...it's official. i'm still trying to figure out how to get my hands on all the real CA strawberries i can. enjoy chica and eat some for me!
I LOVE STRAWBERRIES!!!!!! oh i love them...
(well... actually, i must admit that i love the IDEA of strawberries more than the actual taste. unless you add sugar. then i like them just as much as blueberries or raspberries. but when i eat them natural and fresh and with the fun teeny green leaves left in my hand and little red dots stuck in my teeth--it's more for the idea of them, i think. they're beautiful, and the word is beautiful, and they make desserts look more beautiful, and it sounds beautiful to be having and doing and picking, and it feels good to bring home in the bright green container... and i'm rambling...)
i love these images. despite the recent post about selective editing and all of our agreed thoughts on that subject, you are pretty good at picking out the good moments in life. and i think that may have nothing to do with editing, just you being good at relishing : )

We were totally there on the same day(Saturday before Easter) We went to the flower fields and then of course bought us some berries. So bummed we missed you guys.
