mia michaels is an amazing choreographer. all of her dances feel so personal to me. I've never had to struggle with a substance addiction but I definitely feel like I can relate to the addiction to a person or place. my drug as always been my attachment to others.
AND, I did dance my whole life until mid college (when photography kind of took over) and this dance makes me want to perform again so bad. dance is such a powerful form of communication.
this makes me cry everytime. it's one of my favorite songs and this dance just knocks the wind out of you. while kayla is a stunning dancer, kupono was one of my favorites and plays this evil part so well. his presence brings chills.
this was amazing. her legs and lines! and melissa and ade's dance for breast cancer pretty much had me bawling. there's such freedom in expression via body movement. and the jete to the hip move. ow and awesome.
you danced your whole life, rachel?? oh i love you--how wonderful is that. you would, wouldn't you. as for me, i've taken dance classes, but that's not the same as being a DANCER... sigh. dancing is one of the most amazing talents. some people just blow me away. how much emotion and passion you can evoke by movement. the body is a beautiful, incredible thing.

Rad rad piece.
Admittedly my hands are down for Melissa and Ade "This Woman's Work" from Episode 18. Nigel, Ellen, Mary, Mia, and everyone in tears.
