Home For Christmas

I love all the parties people have in their homes during the holidays. It feels so much more intimate than just meeting at a restaurant (although the clean up is easier that way).

I photographed a simply amazing Christmas gathering and dinner at a home right on the Strand in Manhattan Beach.
They invited a small gathering of friends for a formal dinner in honor of the season. The home was decked with all forms of merriment and the family was delightful.

Maybe when I get a house large enough to hold a table I will host my own formal party complete with Santa flying overhead.

That's a HOUSE? I figured you were hired to shoot some reception at a hotel. Do people really live like that?

Sigh. I'm going to go get one of my chipped dollar store mugs out of my particle board cupboards in my beige laminate kitchen and drown my sorrows in some hot chocolate.

Beautiful. I love, love the piano. I want to paint my very own some day.

Grapefruit,

It's indeed a house...and a HUGE one at that. They bought three lots right on the sand and built a nice cozy mansion.

I live in 500sq feet and kill at least 5 bugs a day crawling on my walls or under my feet. My carpet is so icky that I prefer not to be barefoot in my own house.

I'm going to open my chicken wire enclosed shelve and pull myself down a mug and join you with some hot chocolate...oh wait! no mugs are clean. I don't have a dishwasher either.
